Chibi Barbari

One of these days, maybe I'll paint a finished picture rather than clogging up my gallery with loads of crude concept sketches like this!1

Anyway, I've been getting more and more fond of exaggerated abstractions of figures like this recently, though I don't really have any experience drawing them, so it's always tricky to get them looking right to me.

These are ideas for the general proportions and shape of the battle models in an Alora Fane game that I'm working on which isn't Miasmon! It's a short and simple thing, so I want to keep the graphics very simple to minimise the time they'll take to make; with these, they only have six parts (head, body, two arms and two legs), and the legs are duplicates, which is, uh, boring technical stuff and so on.

Apparently the Mhandisi are the only ones who bother to wear clothes. And the Varnyn looks so creepy to me! I'll have to change that for the final model.
