Daily 2 - Zaffre

I did it! I did this 'daily drawings' thing for more than one day in a row! Wow! Hooray! I should win a medal!!1

I'm getting more comfortable with this style, though I still have a lot of weaknesses that bother me. Some things I need to practise in particular are clothing folds, hands, and legs, so I'll be sure to do some more studies of those in the coming days!

ANYWAY, this is Zaffre, the co-protagonist of sorts in a monster-catching game I'm making called Miasmon. He was designed as the playable male trainer, while his counterpart Cerise was designed as the female trainer. I drew Cerise yesterday:



While Cerise is naive and inquisitive, Zaffre is jaded and suspicious. He grew up in a small, isolated village on the outskirts of the Bronze Archipelago, which didn't have an 'obelisk' to prevent miasmal monsters from forming. As such, he got used to fighting off monsters regularly from an early age, so now he sees them as vermin that took many precious things from him. He ventures to Fracture and joins the Daring Delvers to find treasure and become rich in order to rescue his family and friends from poverty and danger.
He keeps precious things in that pouch on his belt!
His sentiment is Fear; he's guarded, suspicious, wary, and concerned with protecting others.
