I haven't posted anything here in a while, I suppose!! Here are some quickish sketches of faces from the other day, of a barely-a-character of mine called Gemma, who I draw when I want to draw but don't have anyone particular in mind.
I notice that most people draw these same button-nosed pretty faces that look either cute or sexy... but I for one find this mousy look much more interesting. She looks like someone I'd want to be friends with, rather than some sexified ideal. Or that's what I was going for, at least; I don't know if I was successful.
I wasn't sure about how to do the hair, obviously!

I really like your concepts! 
She looks friendly and somewhat shy. Also she's pretty despite not having a "perfect face", with the button nose you mentioned. Well done. ^^
I should draw more facial diversity with my own characters too. But I find it really hard, especially with noses.
It's like I don't want my characters to look "ugly" even though it would just make them look normal. That's weird, right? xD
