Erin - Armour Stages

We had an assignment for university where we had to make a basic Unity game with basic features, to see whether we'd absorbed the fundamentals that we'd been taught over the year. Most people seem to have just done grey cubes floating around in a void, but I wanted to use the opportunity to teach myself how to make a full Unity game, and put effort into the art and design side of things.

I came up with a player character, who I called Erin on a whim, and this is her! I imagined that getting or losing health would affect your appearance - inspired by the old game Ghosts and Goblins, where your character loses his armour and runs around in his underpants if you're hit - but eventually decided not to go down that path because it was too much work.

I did still do this concept, though, so I might as well upload it here!

There was also originally a level lower than the one on the left, where she was in her underwear, but since she's a she, it seemed pervy, and I decided not to include it here.

Oh, and her weapon is basically a magic wand with a gem in it, but the gem is big enough to be a sword blade. So it's called a wandblade! Yes!
