My most recent university classwork involved trying to reproduce a low poly model made by another artist... I ended up looking at a bunch of low poly models, and I find the look rather appealing; it reminds me of little toys or something, or almost like Lego men perhaps! So I wanted to try to do some low poly models of my own.

I've done modelling and texturing before, YEARS ago, but embarrassingly I seem to have forgotten everything I knew since then. Whoops. So I had to basically relearn it all for this. We haven't even got far enough in the classes to cover UVW texturing, so I had to jump ahead and teach myself that using online tutorials...

Anyway! Obviously this is Leafish, which I drew before.

I don't think that the grey background here is a good idea at all, but that's 3ds max's default colour. I should have changed it somehow! Oh well.

I'd like to try to do some more of these, and hopefully I'll improve as I do so!
