MARDEK Portraits 7: Zach

I was worried about how this one would turn out because I'm not used to drawing faces of ethnicities that are not my own! So if it doesn't do justice to that race, uh, I'm sorry, I'm just lacking in experience...!

I've been learning from drawing these faces that much of the distinguishing characteristics of the MARDEK characters is in their clothing; with a floating head and naked shoulders, they look like generic faces more than anything recognisable. I mean, if you saw this thing in isolation with no context, you'd probably not think 'oh, that's Zach from MARDEK!!', and with the previous one, it'd be even less obvious that that was meant to be Sharla!

Oh well. Maybe soon I'll try and draw full-body versions of these characters. For now, I'm just using the faces, as original as they aren't, as practice, I suppose.
