The previous Miasmon music track that I uploaded was one of the first ones that I composed, but this one is the most recent, and the final track that I had to compose to finish off the soundtrack.

It's battle music, which I always seem to struggle with for various reasons!

The game has four battle tracks... One that plays against wild monsters, another against trainers, a third against the 'Daring Delver' type trainers (who get their own battle theme in much the same way that Team Whatever grunts do in Pokemon games), and then there's this, which is used for what are essentially bosses, such as battles against Gemma or your other rival person thing.

It quotes the Main Theme.

Again, this was composed by me in a program called Sibelius, and the simple Flash-based player was made by me too.

It loops, also! Unceasingly.

I plan to release these as a digital album which I'll sell for money eventually (as I have done with some of my other music in the past), and it might hurt sales if I allowed this to be easily downloaded...

Maybe add a sample piece of one of the tracks for free and have the full album for money? Kinda like what this guy on youtube called William Kage did with his "refreshed" old video game music.

I had this playing in the background while typing my latest reply to your last journal. For a certainly energetic piece of battle music, it's extremely pleasant to listen to. It's probably because it's not an incessant rumble of vitality like the combat music in some games, but has the more tranquil parts between peaks of intensity like any real piece of music should. It's also very fluid, in the sense that it all follows a single unbroken movement; in other words, there are no parts I felt were "disconnected".

At first I misread the title and accidentally skipped the important part of the description, so I thought it was generic battle music. After a while of listening to it, I got the feeling it was too grandiose for that role, but when I came back to write this comment I noticed the "Special Battle" part of the title and re-read the description. Now I can only say it's a perfect fit. I especially like the part near the end when the strings are particularly ominous, it really says "this is an important battle, don't you dare to mess up now", which is actually the part that gave me the feeling of this being "boss music".
