Catharsis 003 - Mature Content

I started this about a month ago, and have only just got around to finishing it! And I bet everyone will totally love it because it's not creepy or anything.

I'm deeply disturbed by violence, especially gore. I literally can't watch films or play games that include gore, and it's very worrying to me that it's apparently completely fine to include graphic violence in 'family-friendly' animation like The Simpsons or Adventure Time (I'm thinking of things like people being bisected down the middle or being decapitated or having their organs exposed or other such things), but you'd never see a female nipple anywhere in any of them because that'd be too Mature.

Yes, apparently it's more acceptable to see someone's innards than their 'private parts'. It's completely fine to go and see a film with your friends where people get gruesomely and graphically blown apart, but the idea of seeing something where people come together in the most intimate way is uncomfortable and taboo.

I recently made the mistake of getting the latest Tomb Raider game without doing any research, purely because I'd liked all the other games in the series so far. After I got it and saw that it was rated 18, I read reviews to see why, and was appalled to see how people relished the 'realistic deaths' and 'brutal violence' that the game provided, praising the series for going in the 'right direction'. But would we get to see Lara naked? No, that's too pervy. How about having her disemboweled or shot in the face? Quality entertainment!

This 'comic' thing makes little sense though! Why would the *Meek* be running around nude?! That's stupid! And why would the Bold respond like that rather than with lecherous ogling? He probably wouldn't!! BUT OH WELL.

The art itself is also really inconsistent and rather lazy, and the characters have changed proportions since the other two strips. I still need to get used to making these!
